Smile 07 Rear Tire Wear and TSB 08-001

After experiencing excessive rear tire wear both before and after TSB 08-001 I have finally resolved the problem to my own satisfaction. We are Snowbirders and as such we load down the rear suspension with luggage etc and travel 3600 mile per year in that configuration. As a result we destroyed a rear pair of tires each season and endured many miles of noisy rough rear tires. So what did we do when the TSB 08-001 fix did not fix our problem? I went one or two steps further then TSB 08-001, I replaced the rear upper control arm with a 3rd party adjustable arm. Then, with no load, I adjusted the rear camber to be 0.0 degrees and adjusted the rear toe to be 0.0 degrees. Now when the rear suspension is subjected to normal to heavy loads the rear toe runs within the specified 0.010 to 0.025 degrees. We drove like this all summer and then came south this winter, all without any abnormal tire wear.
