A complete 1.6 is of course somewhat more powerful than a mini-me, because it has more cc's. You still have a 1.5 liter engine with a mini-me.

2X on the complete Z6. I've got a 1.5 (D15Z1) with a Z6 head. Runs good but not much power. Another option is to add a turbo to the mini-me (Z1 is low compression-good for turbo) but I don't know about the $$.

you dont have a minime the d15z1 is a vtec-e block they are 90 hp engines. now if you had a y7 or a b7 block with that head then you would have alot better power.

Hmmm, I thought a minime was putting a different head on a motor than what came from factory.....Is it a vtec head on a non vtec motor??? Anyway are there advantages to having a Y7 or B7 minime over the stock z6??

yes a mini me is putting a vtec head on a non vtec block, the advatage of doing this instead of just a full vtec motor is higher compression and more hp. also most of the time its cheaper to just put a head on the to swap a full motor

keep your d15b7 block and put a d16z6 head and throttle body on it, also need the dizzy and ecu.

You're right. Dizzy is the distributor.
