Default sound when RPMs go up.

Evening e'eryone,

I am trying to understand this stupid squeaking noise coming from the driver-side front under the hood. I have narrowed it down to something running off the belt on the driver-side of the engine. I believe it to be the alternator. Also, the battery light is on and off like dimming down and lightly re-appearing. So I am beginning to believe it may be the pulley or bearing inside. If that is the case, would it be worth it to fix the bearing/pulley, or just buy a whole new alternator.

Thanks.
