1996 Honda Civic wont get into a gear?
I have a automatic 1996 Honda Civic and it wont get into any gear. When I try to go to D4, D3, 2 or Reverse the car feels like its in neutral. But after I turn the car off and wait a couple of minutes, then start the car it gets into a gear but I can only drive a couple of feet before the engine just starts revving and feels like it is in neutral. I did get an engine code P0700. The oil in the transmission is good (red in color) and the level is also good. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be and how I can fix it?
Thanks

i bought a 2000 civic and had the same problems, people told me to change the fluid a couple and i did that and no change happened, so the last resort came up had to do a tranny change, so i just installed a 5 speed and was done with it, my cel comes on but now i think the 5 speed takes a different ecu than the auto, good luck keep us informed
