Hello, I recently bought a 1997 Civic 1.4i and learned it has a bad CV boot which normally isn't too big a problem, 60-70$ and a bit of work to replace right? Normally yes, however it is a euro spec civic (I'm stationed in Germany right now) and I just found out it costs ~500 euros for the whole CV axle and a little over 300 euros for just the boot. This got me thinking could I just find a similar vehicle in the states and get an axle that fits one of them and ship it, such as a CX. Anyone know if they would be the same size/dimensions? Anyone know why there is such a huge price difference? Appreciate any help.
