Default 2001-2003 Engine Transmission Compatibility ?
Greetings.

Will an engine (1.7L) from a 2001 Civic LX directly replace

a 2003 Civic LX (1.7L) engine?


Will the 2003 transmission, wiring, computer system accommodate the 2001 engine?

LX's from 2001-2005 are exactly the same drivetrain. therefore everything swaps out from lx to lx between those years. the other models come with the d17a2 with vtec and wont swap in with the same wiring and computer.

yes it will because they're non vtec.
