2002 civic lx not starting

Default 2002 civic lx not starting

Ive replaced spark plugs and still didnt work. checked for spark and found i am not getting any spark from any plug... im stuck now. the car is trying to start but just wont turn over. I also checked all fuses in the system and all are good. Any Ideas?

is the engine cranking at least? if its not then its your starter. if it does crank but doesnt start, then you may have a distributor issue it may be worn out.

The 2002 has distributorless ignition. Spark timing is derived from the crank and cam position sensors. It would be useful to hook up an OBDII scanner and see if any sensor problems have been detected.

Also check that the cam rotates when you crank the engine, if it does not the timing belt is stripped. Take the oil cap off and watch for the rocker arms to move.
