Default 2003 Civic SIR EP3 Parking brake clunk

Hi, has anyone ever heard of this? I turn on my car and the parking brake clunks... My driveway is flat, so its not like I'm rolling or anything...

you can feel the parking brake handle move and make the noise when you turn the car on.

Also, when I back out of my drive way, the clunking continues... What is the deal?

Another prob is that when I hit a large puddle of water, the engine noise begins to sound like my muffler fell off... really loud like one of those cheap mufflers from back in the day.

Is it because water is splashed through the large see-through holes between wheel well and engine bay (I'm imagining that this is to allow all the hot air out of the engine bay...)

Also, my car does not go straight... have to always keep turning the wheel to the left, as it pulls to the right... had an alignment done a few years ago and it didn't solve the problem at all... dealer actually said that the car was NOT pulling at all... WHen I let go of the wheel on the highway, the car practically veers off into the ditch...

What is up with that? HOw can I explain this to them so that they fix it?

Do you have aftermarket intake?

check tie rod ends for play, look for bent suspension components, etc.

Also, the key phrase here is "a few years ago"... It needs to be done again, a few years is a long time to go without an alignment. Take it somewhere besides the dealer, to a reputable shop... they will most likely find the problem. If the dealer refuses to admit that it's pulling, then you obviously need to take the car somewhere else and get another opinion.

Thanks about the suspension prob. But has anyone ever had the brake thing happen?

Maybe I should describe it better.
I put the key in to turn the car on. Car is parked on a flat surface. Turn the key in the ignition, and the car turns on. As this happens, a strange clunking noise comes from the rear passenger side, and the parking brake shimmies. When I release the brake, I need to back out of the drive way, and there are a few clunks as I back up. Sound seems to be coming from the rear. Sound kinda like driving backwards with the parking brake on.

1) Does Honda use a hydraulic line for the parking brake, as there seems to be some fluid on my drive way?

2) Someone mentioned that there could be a lose brake component rattling around. How do I check this?

3) Would Honda check this out for free while doing an oil change or service? I hate paying for something that I could check myself.

And Trust Destruction: I do not have an after market intake.

Exhaust pipe may be hitting the rear suspension. See if you can get the same noise by shaking the tailpipe around (with the engine off and cold).
