Default '99 Civic Si replacement bumper/grille

I'm taking the body kit that came on my car off, and replacing it with OEM bumpers. I do not have that front grille piece. Is that grille piece necessary in order to get the stock front bumper to fit onto the car correctly?

I'm pretty sure that the grille goes on almost last, and that if you just put the bumper on it will fit fine but you just won't have a grille obviously.

that grill is needed... it screws to the bumper cover and then the grill snaps onto the radiator support.
the grill doesnt have to be a SI... i replaced my ex grill with a oem si grill awhile back. the oem si grill definatly looks better

if you need a grill i got a white ex grill.... not selling my si grill tho.

well i got a grill of ebay...it's a stock black civic grill...i don't think it's an Si grill though. I'm not really worried about that aspect...i'm trying to make it a clean Si again CLOSE to stock. I doubt I can ever get it back completely stock. I might need some Si badges though b/c whoever had it b4 me de-badged it.

on a side note- i had new doors and bumpers come in today. this weekend it's go-time.

IMO if you have the DOHC motor in the car... DONT put the SI badges on it.... that only slaps a target on it! your wheels already slightly give it away... just try to keep as on the down low as much as posibly to prevent theft. a SI is definatly a theives dream steal... quick and easy to steal a honda unfortunatly...

yeah it's still the stock B16...aside from exhaust/intake/headers. Fortunately, there is the killswitch in it still, and I live alone 20 miles out of the city. Sounds creepy- but it's good b/c people can't see my stuff, ha, and are probably scared to come this way.
