Default 2006 Civic Overheating

I'll try to make this as short as possible. This car was imported from USa to Africa where I use it.

1. When I bought it it had 30k milleage on it and taught that wasn't bad. Till I found out the radiator has been patched at one time and it was leaking or loosing coolant. IT had only water in it.

2. I bought a new radiator and problem seem to persist and now worse. As i discovered that whenever it really over heats and gets to the RED .. it burns out the COIL that goes on to the plugs. I've replaced this coils which cost $100 each over here

3. In West africa most cars dont run with thermostat they're always removed. General believe that it doesn't work or not made to work for the hot region. Dont know if the gasket is burnt our or if car needs bleeding. Last time I started the vehicle it spilt out coolant. And its always bubling

4. Whenever coil is burnt or bad it BLINKS the engine check signal and car wont move fine. Now I've replaced all the orignal for COILs with cheaper coils from the 2003 civic this cost jsut around $30 each. They are longer and we had to cut them to fit in

Don't run plain water, there will be corrosion problems since there is aluminum in contact with iron in the engine. Always use a 30% to 50% mixture of antifreeze-coolant even if freezing isn't an issue. Your water pump may have been damaged that way.

I'm not familiar with the 2006 Civic engine, but I'd trust the thermostat, rather than run without it.

If it is blowing out coolant when starting up cold, you probably have a bad head gasket.

Finally now the radiator is leaking immensely today I think it will need to be towed to the mech's workshop. I'm frustrated and may just fix it just to be able to sell the car and get me an Hyundai
