My wife's 2024 Civic just hit 5000 miles. The maintenance schedule says first oil change isn't due until 7500 miles. I never go that long between changes on my other vehicles. Dealer said first oil change is free but I really don't want to wait that long. I'm leaning towards just doing it myself. It's also taken 9 months just to hit 5000 miles which is another reason I want to do it early. Should I wait until the maintenance minder comes on or do it now?
