Im about to pick up this 87 SI that I just bought. The guys says the turn signals dont work. First instinct is a bad fuse. If not a fuse, then what?

Got this car for $500. Runs great! 160000 miles. Needs a new muffler and tires and there's a brake fluid leak somewhere. And of course no turn signals but hey....I still think its a great deal!

 

Is it that they turn on and don't flash? If so, the flasher relay would need to be replaced.

 

Before messing with the relay- check the lights themselves.
Both of my hatches had to have the signal lights replaced.
