Default 91 civic: leaky injectors

I've recently replaced the O rings on the fuel injectors, but they still leak at the top. Any thoughts one what I may have done wrong?

Did you coat the new O-rings and seal rings with engine oil prior to installation?

The only thing I can think of is when installing them, you twisted and/or cut the Orings from lack of lube (Clean motor oil) OR, you could even not have them fully pushed into the rail (seen it done a few times.... Had to reprimand my tech. LOL)

I did coat the rings with new 10w30, so I'll have to check that they are fully seated.

It's not hard to damage o-rings during installation. Also check the ID and OD of the rail and injectors where the o-rings touch for gouges, etc. Could also have the wrong size or material o-rings especially considering that they all leak. Make sure your rings are rated for gasoline applications. I think o-rings used for the A/C are not suitable for the fuel system and vice versa.

Edit: is this a TBI (2 big injectors) or MPFI (4 little injectors)?

Four injectors. The o rings were part of an injector O ring kit for the civic. I wonder if there are any oversized o rings I could get.

I haven't had a chance to take the rail off again yet.

Thanks for the ideas.
