Default 92 LX Oil Leak?

Cleaned it up some and looks like the leak is coming from under the distributor. No oil around the head. Just under the distributor.
Any ideas?

Quite easy to do yourself. Obtain a new o-ring. Mark the position of the distributor "ear" relative to the head where the top bolt holds it. Remove the 3 bolts holding distributor on. Pull distributor out, you probably won't need to disconnect any wires. Remove and replace o-ring. Make sure to keep the distributor shaft in the same position so it will re-engage when you put the distributor back on.

Make sure the distributor matches your marks so the timing is the same. It would be good to check timing with a timing light after doing this.

Is the leak from the distributor, or possibly valve cover? Is there oil inside the distributor?

Did you use an OEM O-ring?

This can be tricky. The base of a distributor is sealed with several "O" rings and to replace them requires removal of the entire distributor. A shop will charge no more than an hours labour for this. Or a "Quick" fix is to loosen the bolt securing the distributor and lift it out slightly and the wipe all oil away from the mating surfaces. Then use a heat resistant silicone and apply a small amount to the mating surfaces, drop the distributor into place, secure the bolts and wait several hours and then start.

You have two separate problems. First, the new O-ring on the shaft may not be the correct one, causing the oil leak visible below the distributor. Second, there is a bad rubber seal in the distributor housing that is allowing oil to get inside the distributor. As mentioned above, you'll need to disassemble the distributor housing to access and replace this seal.

I don't think they sell the shaft seal separate. When you have oil leaking into the inside of the distributor you have to replace the whole distributor as a unit.
