Confused. Can I fix the bad distributor seal? Is a used distributor ok if replacement is needed?
Using the quick fix above is going to keep oil from exiting the valve cover, but not fix the leak into the distributor. Right?

 

The proper O-ring should fix the external oil leak. Though not shown in your diagram, there is a rubber seal inside that distributor housing that also can be replaced. Call the Honda dealership. This seal needs to be replaced to stop the internal oil leak.

 

I think the Distributor Shaft Bushing http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/Displ...&currentPage=0 is the cause. Looking close at it I can see small cracks.

Any thoughts? Any tips on how to replace?

 

I decided to replace the distributor. The wires had to many cracks.
I put in the new distributor and new plugs but the car wont start.

 

It is possible to put a distributor on 180 degrees out of time but you have to force it. Take it off and make sure the alignment lines on the camshaft and the driver on the distributor shaft are on the same side.

Next check for sparks at the plug wires. If you don't have any check for sparks at the coil with the cap off (to a grounded test wire). If that doesn't work your new distributor is probably bad. You can try switching the coil and the igniter out of the old one as those are the parts that usually go bad.
