Can anyone tell me what the voltage should be going to IACV? It has 5 volts, manual says battery voltage. does that mean it should be same voltage as battery? I took the intake off to fix some oil leaks and while I had it off I cleaned the intake. now have low idol. cleaned iacv and did not help low idol. I cant get it close to 700 rpm. sorry its a 1.6 vtec

You should have battery voltage on the yellow-black wire with the key on. This is supplied through the harness directly.

The ECU pulls the other wire toward ground when it needs to energize the valve coil and open the valve.

Also unplug the valve and check the coil resistance. I think it is supposed to be 10 ohms. Open circuit or a fault to ground means replace the valve.

its throwing code 10 IAT sensor, manual says resistance should be 1k to 4k. my multi-tester has 5 ohms settings, 2000k,200k,20k, 2000, 200. it doesn't show anything accept on 200, and then its 00.7. which setting should I use? voltage tests ok. any suggestion are welcome and appreciated.

OK we have:
5V at the IACV instead of 12V
No IACV operation
IAT and IACV sensor codes

This is easy. It appears that the plugs for the IAT and the IACV have been swapped and are plugged into the wrong devices. They're the same physical type of plug; it's not "idiot proof" like most cars.

I can't find my diagram right now but if you pull up a schematic (see the sticky list of manuals at the top of the forum) it will tell you which wire colors go to which sensor. You also have the purge control solenoid in the mix with the same kind of 2-wire plug on the back of the manifold.
