Default 93 civic ex d16z6

so i am new to this forum, and just have a question. Ive had my civic for years, and the person who had it before me did some shady things to it, i wont go into it but i was looking at my distributor and realized that it only has one bolt on the top. i went to my service manual and i am pretty sure all 3 bolts should be there. so i got out my timing gun, and took out that bolt and tried to lign all 3 holes up, but they will not lign up. but the timing is still in pretty good shape. so i have reason to believe that the person that had it before me put a different distributor on it if this is even possible??? so 1 is this possible?? and should all 3 bolts be holding the distributor on the head??

Yeah, the distributor is a mismatch for your Civic. All three holes should acomodate bolts.
