93 ex Idling problem

My Civic's idle lopes from 1000 to 1500 and i was wondering what it could be, when i first start the engine it doesn't do it but after like 2 minutes it starts loping. The car was sitting for about 2 years and before that it wasn't loping i wanted to know what could of went wrong. also the coolant starts to boil after like 5 mins i don't know if they are related just checking. im sorta a noob to cars and i don't have the extra cash to bring it anywhere so i need as much help as i can get thanks.

The idle problem may be caused by the boiling coolant. In fact, the latter is a greater concern. More detailed information would help.

Does the engine temperature on the dash gauge rise above normal?

If so, does the radiator fan run when the engine is hot?

Does turning the heater and blower to full help reduce the temperature?

Is the coolant level in the radiator and reservoir low?

You may need to bleed the cooling system, replace the thermostat, or fix a potential radiator fan problem. More serious problems could be a bad water pump or head gasket.

I couldn't really tell you how the temp gauge looks i just turn the car off when i see smoke coming from radiator cap.

i don't think the fan turns on.

once again couldn't tell you.

it seems to have poor circulation and it seems pretty full.

Right now thats all i can tell you i can look into those alot more tomorrow it's too dark, but judging by that can you tell me anything?
