93 hatch engine check light illumination

I have an import sir2 so the dails are in kph, for you guys this wouldn't be a major issue but for me in the uk this is odd as we still use mph.Me being me tends to forget that my clocks are in kph so end up pottering down the motorway (freeway) at 70kph approximately 45mph,this you may think is not a problem but believe me it is as our speed limit is 70mph on the motorway so when usually my gf points out to me my speed (as she holds the sat nav which is in mph) and i press the gas in 5th to get up to 70mph my engine check light comes on for no apparent reason.
When the light comes on there appears to be no running abnormalities when this happens, any ideas what it could be?
I have checked the car over myself and the only difference i've found is that there is no lamda probe fitted to the exhaust manifold, could this be causing the problem?

Here's how to pull the CEL code(s) from the ECU:

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/1901557

Afterwards, clear the ECU and, when the CEL comes back ON when driving, pull the code again to verify it is the same. Post any questions you have about any repeated code(s) in this thread.

If it's the same as the USA '93, it will have the OBD1 system where you just jumper the test plug and watch the check engine light blink to get the code. No special tools required.
