94 civic LX CV and Trans problem

The passenger side CV axle went out . I have a manual trans. Took it to get fixed they replaced it and the gears are grinding and popping out of gear. Any ideas on what could be wrong.
Thanks

Why would you NOT take it back to the same shop that installed the axle? Obviously, they did something wrong and need to rectify the situation.

They do have it right now, He was wanting to give the car back to me like that, said he doesnt do transmissions. Then he said he would talk to someone about it. Could the axle cause the transmission damage.

And the garage I took it to didn't tell me the gears weren't shifting till after I payed them to fix the axle shaft.

Assuming that your gears were working just fine before you brought the car in to the shop, I'd say that they are responsible for the gear malfunction. I would tell them that they should get the car fixed, even if it means taking it to a tranny shop. Normally, replacing a CV axle should not affect the tranny but any thing is possible, I guess.
