Default 94 Civic no start? Possibly fuel pump???

In my girlfriends 1994 civic im pretty sure its a lx, today it wouldnt start when she left work. It cranks but it wouldnt start. She kept trying and after a while it started just fine and was been fine since then. Its not the battery we just replaced it. Mileage wise theres close to 200k but its been very well taken care of. She mentioned that very rarely the civic has died while idleing at a stop light. Only a few times in a time span of months has this happened. Could it possibly be the fuel pump? All the fuses/relays are fine. Only reason I think fuel pump is because of the dying at idle. Where should I start? Thanks alot

When the engine won't start, check for spark and whether the fuel pump primes.

Any CEL codes?

Possibly bad distributor? I had a similar problem that happened once in a while, but became more frequent. I changed the distributor and have not had a problem since.

Im with this guy^^^^. Mine starting doing that and the fuel pump wasnt going on. So i put a new fuel pump in it and it still did it. Ended up being the main relay which fires the fuel pump.
