94 EX - ABS Light Issue
I have a 94 EX with 4 wheel disc and ABS. I replaced both axles/CVs and all brake pads. The ABS light now stays on all the time. Used the diagnostic and it indicates the front left speed sensor is faulting. I reset system and it faults again after a few forward revolutions of the wheel. I did not notice any difference between the axles removed and installed but I understand there is to be some ridge or something for sensor to read? I see none. However, I get no diagnostic that front right is faulting and it appears identical to front left. Don't recall straining the sensor wire or anything when the work was done.

Spending the time and dough to take it in is a last resort, but I appreciate your reply, ImportKid. Car drives fine although I recognize there could be braking issues. New CVs definitely make a difference. It would seeme to me the ABS is not a complicated fix and possibly its just the replaced axle which is why I was looking for anyone with similar experience or Honda background to offer insight. Comes down to it and I cannot figure it out then I will take it to a specialist.

Thanks for the replies. I did not check new axles for ABS compatibility since I was unaware there was even ABS on the car at the time. I have had it only a few months and it turns out to be a Canadian car, four wheel disk, a bit of a surprise at first. Anyways the two axles' outer CVs are identical - no ridges, lines, reflectors, etc. But the diagnostic only indicates a front left problem. All lines intact, nothing had been removed. I only opened the MC during caliper reinstall. Brakes work fine. Any other ideas? The shop is too damn expensive which is why I did the axles myself.
The problem was as lilol89crx said; the axles were not fitted with the ABS sensor ring. I put new axles in and corrected the problem. Twice the work but its all done now. I found the ball joint boot is ripped so the right steering knuckle comes out again soon... Any thoughts on that? Thanks for all of your replies.
Does the ball joint need to be replaced or can I just replace the boot? I suppose the boot itself could be done now that I think of it. But man the last thing I wanna do in the foreseeable future is yank on that damn wheel and axle again. Think I'll wait a bit and let my back stop spasming...
