94 Hatchback, check engine light
 

My '94 Hatchback check engine light came on, and the speedometer stopped working at the same time. Can anyone tell me what that means? Thank you, in advance for your help.

Mine did the same thing except the speedometer went out about a minute before the light came on. I had to replace my VSS (vehicle speed sensor) It's easy to get to as it's on top of the tranny near the back.
I am sure everyone else will tell you to buy Honda but they are over $100. I found one on Amazon for $16 and it works fine so far (only been on for a couple of weeks)
