I have a '97 Accord that runs perfectly until I turn on the air conditioner. Under acceleration or under driving speeds, I don't notice any issues but at idle, there is a surging sensation. I turn the air off and it completely goes away instantly. Not a sputtering like the vehicle will stall, but a slight surge. I'm getting no engine diagnostic lights, though. Any feedback or suggestions, as always, is greatly appreciated!! Greg

 

If it were a Civic, I'd check if the condenser fans work, and clean the IACV.
