'97 Civic LX Door Panel Removal

The front driver-side electric window is stuck open in my 1997 Honda Civic LX due to a glass alignment problem. I am trying to remove the door panel so that I can adjust the glass.

I released the clips that hold the panel to the door and detached the speaker cable. The only thing holding the panel to the door is the electric-window switch cable. In order to disconnect this cable from the switch, the snap on plastic cover for the power-window switch assembly must be removed. The Service Manual calls this piece the “door grip cover”. This cover hides the switch connector. However, the door grip cover does not come off when I pry on the point indicated in page 20-4 of the 1996 -1997 Honda Civic Service Manual. The cover seems to be held in place at several points, but the Service Manual shows only one pry point.

Can anyone recommend a way to remove the door grip cover? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Thanks for the link.

Steps 2 and 3 in the link show a screw at the bottom of the coin holder that holds the switch assembly to the arm rest. However, there is no such screw in the coin holder in my switch assembly :( as seen in the attached photo.
