98 civic CEL blinking

Hello,

The CEL light is blinking in my girlfriends civic and she claims that it is acting "sluggish." I was curious if anyone had any ideas of what this might mean?

Thanks,

go to an autoparts store and have it scanned for free

then post the codes that came up.

Do as Mundy suggests. The blinking CEL indicates misfires sufficiently severe to damage the catalytic converter.
