Question 99 ex keyless entry questions

i have a 99 civic ex.. when i bought the car it did not come with keyless entry remotes so i dont know if it has it. How do i find out? Also, from searching i seen a lot of posts about having the stock radio. The radio is out of my buddies 2000 si. How do i know if my car has everything for keyless. I was going to just buy a remote and program it. Help please!

Only the 96-98 civics need to have the factory radio remain in the vehicle for the keyless entry to work.

If you look behind the plastic cover on the driver side kick panel there will be a keyless entry module with the vehicle is equipped with it.

ok i looked behind my driver side kick panel and there is a keyless module there. The FCC is A269ZUA123 and lastnight before i even looked at the FCC i ordered an OEM remote off ebay and the FCC on it is A269ZUA106. The only difference in the last 3 numbers, will the remote i ordered still work?

It should work. There is a sticky on how to program the remotes.
