AC Problem

Good morning to all:

I have been told by my technician not to run my ac system on the fresh air setting. He suggested to only run the ac on the max setting so that the low pressure side would not increase its pressure. In other words, he does not know how to resolve the situation! Time to find another technician for the difficult jobs!!!

I will be purchasing a set of manifold gauges and air pump vacuum within the next month to begin tackling these things on my own. I have been watching Eric the Car Guy on YouTube. Any other suggestions out there? I have also begun reading basic information on the auto ac systems as well.

Thanks for your help...:)

What are the symptoms?

The system is intermittently blowing warm air while driving. I was told there were no leaks and that it is still fully charged.

When it is blowing warm air, pull over and open the hood (leave the engine running and A/C button pressed). Observe if the compressor is engaged, the plate next to the pulley should be spinning along with the pulley.

I will do that. Much thanks...

Also note if the fans on the radiator are running. They should both run all the time the A/C is active.
