alternator belt completely gone.
Heres the story.
i have a 1993 honda civic ex.
for about a week, when i would drive, there would be a belt squeak. (im 98% sure it was a blet squeak). it would squeak in first, then when i would push the clutch in the squeak would go away. then in second it would squeak again and go away. then the past couple of days it would squeak all the way to third gear.
then on my way to work today the battery indicator light came on and i noticed the squeak went away. so after work at about 3:15 am i popped the hood and looked and notice the belt that goes around the alternator is gone..completely.
how difficult is it to replace and are there any DIYs for this particular problem?
it was pretty dark when i looked under the hood but it looks like im going to have to take all of the belts off. is this true?
any help would be greatly appreciated

it is fairly easy to replace the belts. If one broke, I would replace the others before anything else happens (assuming all the belts were the same age)
Pick up a haynes manual to show you where all of the tensioners are for the belts. Once you loosen those, swapping the belts is easy.
