Default Annoying Misfire CEL

I get this about once a month so far this winter only so far from November to March now where my CEL comes on and it's usually 2 codes of some misfires in the engine. Now I changed my plugs last spring and will again next month, but after I clear my codes they stay gone because there is not another misfire for another month or so.

I use premium gas only, but could it still be the problem, maybe water in the gas?

have you set your valve lash lately? I might be wrong but I think I read somewhere where that can help...

Maybe someone else knows?

I dont think you need to be running premium on a stock D16z6. I could be wrong tho..
When was last time you did a tune up?
Spark plugs
Spark plug cables (these you can test with a Ohm meter BTW)
Cap & rotor?
Ever used Lucas Injector cleaner?
There isint oil on your spark plugs is there?

Like I said I did a tune up last spring. I changed the plugs, cables, Cap and rotor and I use full system cleaner including injectors once every 5,000 miles.

And my engine is the d16y7. I don't think there is a problem with the kind of gas you use.

No no didn't do that yet, but I will this weekend when I get home from school hopefully Saturday and if that is the issue I will clean them up and replace the plugs.

No, if there is oil on you spark plugs you need to replace the spark plug "O" rings.
It keeps the oil from getting on your plugs.

And no there shouldn't be a problem in the fuel you use, lol but why use premium if you wont get anything out of it. But thats just me lol

Premium is just better for your motor and an old motor just needs to be babied haha, but I understand. But thanks for the advice on the O rings and if I see oil those babies are getting replaced.

The wires are the most fragile part, and some aftermarket sets don't last at all.

Premium gas is an absolute and total waste of money as long as your engine doesn't knock when using regular.

My wires are not aftermarket just simple and cheap ones from Autozone, but like Daone said I will see if there is oil in my plugs and go from there.

Thanks for the heads up.
