Default Battery for hot climate

Hola!
My 03 Civic EX needs a new battery. I have looked into the gel batteries, and they don't make a die hard (gel) for my car. I have heard those are great, but have also heard great things about the optima as well. I live in Tucson, AZ where it is dry and hot and we rarely get rain. Any one care to throw out their favorite battery with this terrible climate in consideration.
I can spend (at the most) $250. And if it matters, I do not have a custom stereo, just stock.
Thank you

Just look for one that has a great warranty.

Odyssey probably makes the best common car batteries, but they can be pricey. Then there are other makers of AGMs, like Optima and Orbital. Orbitals were going pretty cheap at www.homedepot.com.

optima is great in the heat, but even better in the cold. I grew up in san diego, and as you know we have some dry heat up to around 109 at times. I joined the military, and got restationed to alaska, and had not one problem with my battery. I will swear by it, But unless you have the need for extra power or something, i would stick to a battery plus battery. Great warranty, and oem replacement.
