it randomly willt hrow a few CEL's, btu I mean random, liek say every few days or more it'll pop up for alil then go away, electric load detector, o2 sensor, and fuel management. Car is converted to OBD1a and has a newish o2 sensor so that shouldn't be a problem...

could be the coil that went out , or something else inside the distributor. fuel pump also.
first thing, need to know if you have spank.
take a spark plug out, and connect it externally to the spark plug wire. i then use a jumper wire that i connect to the threads of the plug and the other end to ground (use a place on the engine or connect to the bat negative). you can do it with a jumper cable. make sure if you connect to the battery, that you connect to the negative terminal. then crank the engine and look for spark to jump the spark plug gap.
should do it using the number 1 spark plug.

check for fuel next (make sure the plug is put back in).
then if those 2 checks are good, have to look for a timing belt that has busted or may have slipped.
