blower transistor issue

A few days ago my blower fan stopped working abruptly. I narrowed the problem down to the blower transistor not functioning, so I replaced it with a new one. It worked for about 10 minutes before it also stopped working. I got a recommended ohm rating on the 4-pin connector itself, so the part isn't getting too much power. I'm not sure what else could be happening here, but the ground pin is NOT being affected by the blower switch on the dashboard. Could the transistor be getting so much grounding that it burns out due to it? Even if that's the case, I don't know what to do to fix it. Please help!

RE: blower transistor issue

Normally if you keep blowing fan speed RESISTORS it means the fan motor is drawing too much current. The bearings are bad or crud is stalling the motor out. The fix is to replace the motor.
