broken exhaust pipe (98 EX)

My exhaust pipe on my 98 EX broke just in front of the clamp for the muffler. The muffler looks fine to me.

This seems like it should be an easy fix. Is it?

I'm at about the level of changing spark plugs, oil, and brake pads on my own. Can someone tell me where to start/what to do? Thanks.

Makes sense. Is this something I should try myself or is it probably just better to take it to Car-X or Midas or Meineke or somewhere?

Well, I tend to do work by myself (I'm changing the clutch by myself..) but this I left it to professional.. There will be welding involved and you want it done right... I've got it done for 200$ and I had a whole midsection brand new. I god a cat from a friend for free and I kept the muffler.

Thanks for the advice!

Can anybody recommend a good chain? I've never really had any problems so I haven't had need for a mechanic and I'm not sure I want to gamble with an indie.

Or is one chain as good as the next?
