Question Which CAN be better

i have two 89 civics HBs one with a D16A6 and one with the D15B2.. i was hopping to drive the one with the D16A6 in it and make a racing engine out of the D15B2 but there's a 15HP difference, could i mix the two together ( D15B2 block with D16A6 head and intake)??

Yes the head will swap over if something is wrong with your D16 block. Clearly you want the MPFI system for any sort of racing.

H22A is probably the HARDEST and FASTEST engine you can swap into that year civic. I believe you want the engine and tranny of a 92-96 prelude, someone would have to check on that tho im not 100%. Need a p13 ecu or s P72, no vtec P14.

anyway i bought a magazine that has every swap of every civic and all about how to do it, Honda Engine Swaps by Aaron Bonk, you can find information on these swaps easily yourself, just do some research.

There is no H22z4. There is an H22z1, but it's Australian. Good luck finding/importing one.

The H22a4 is practically identical. They say the difference is 3 hp. You would find it in a USDM/CDM 97-01 Prelude base or Type SH model.
