Can this dizzy be saved?
Checking resistance at the tps (or whatever it is called) I find 364 ohms between the two lower prongs on my dual point FI set up but nothing when I try any combination of the three upper prongs. Could this be why the engine won't rev past 3500 and what are my options?

There are two sensors, it sounds like one is bad. (This should throw an ECU code.) Most parts of the inside of the distributor (other than the coil and ICM) are not officially sold separately, so it is more common to swap the whole thing for a rebuilt one. Like any rebuilt part, do NOT trade in your "core" unit until after the new one is on the car and working.
Also it's bad form to start new threads about the same problem.

Sorry. That one was when I thought the problem was on the timing belt side of the engine and this one the other. With this project it has been one thing after another. On other words, what appears to be a normal "project".
Where does one go for an exchange? Dealer?

My new distributor arrived after I left for work yesterday so I installed it this morning. My '91 wagon ran great! So after 16 months of off and on work I have a usable car. Thanks, Mk378, for your wisdom and help.
