Can I use pre-2000 14" Civic rims for snow tires on a 2002 EX with 15" stock rims?
I have a 2002 Civic EX coupe with 15" stock rims.
A friend of mine gave me a nice set of 14" winter tires, so I've been looking for 14" rims. I finally found a used set, which came off a pre-2000 Civic. The guy selling them told me the hub size (centerbore?) might be different and they might not fit. He confirmed the bolt pattern is 4x100. I've been scouring the net trying to find specs on the centerbore for civics, but the lists I've come across aren't clear. Is there a way I can figure out whether the 14" rims will work on my car? Thanks! |
I'm pretty sure they'll work. The 01-05 came with stock 14" steelies or optional 15" alloys. I've swapped steelies between my sister's 02 Civic and my 00 Civic in the past. Pretty sure they're the same.

If the used 14"s are 1992-2000 at least, I'm relatively sure they'll work.

They should be fine. And I'm positive your car comes stock with 15s.
Anyways, I'm pretty certain that your car, along with with like every other Civic built before 2005, all have 4x100 bolt patterns. I know somewhere there are 4x114s, but I don't know where or what they are on |
