Car Won't Start
My CV Axles were going bad so I decided not to drive it until I had enough money to fix the axles. I haven't driven the car for about 2 weeks now. Now when I try starting the car, it will not start. I tried jump starting, i used a working distributor, and there are sparks on my spark plugs. It still won't start.
I unplugged both of these one at a time and put the ignition on the on position to check if my fuel pump is working. Nothing sprayed. http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/3825/dsc012152yh.jpg Would this be the fuel return line? http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/48/dsc012167yb.jpg Also took off the intake and sprayed some starting fluid. No luck. Now my battery is starting to die. Any help? |

RE: Car Won't Start
When a car doesn't start i usually try sparying carb cleaner in the TB. If you aren't getting fuel, your car should start right up when u spray the carb cleaner, promptly followed by it dying out. Try it and tell me the results.

RE: Car Won't Start
My distributor and fuel pump is fine. Just checked them. I tried spraying starting fluid in the TB and still wouldn't start. Took out the fuel rail + injectors to have it cleaned/checked. They were really dirty. Hopefully after cleaning them, it'll start.

RE: Car Won't Start
I don't think there is anything wrong with my fuel injectors. Any suggestions on what might be the problem?

Will it even turn over? or does it just click and not even try to turn?

RE: Car Won't Start
Does it sound like it doesn't even want to start? Like if it has no spark whatsoever? If so what happened to me once when I left it for 2 weeks just like you is one or more of the valves were stuck open. If you live near the beach or where they spray salt for snow purpose, the salty air tends to rust the internals if they are left without oil for a few days/weeks. One way to know for sure is do a compression check or remove the valvecover. What I did, is have a battery charger connected to the battery and cranked it for a good 5 minutes or so. Well I would crank and rest, crank and rest, until the valve started moving again. MMy cousin is a honda mechanic and told me there was a bullitin out on that and I should be able to start it by just trying and trying.
