Fuse? On starter? 300A? 500A? Am I missing smth?

 

id think if the solenoid is clicking i wouldn't think the fuse be bad if you tryied it n nothen then fuses would be first thing to go after.. i had a car that did this to me ford escort. id just keep turn the key over real fast n soon or later the starter would get out of the bind n start up run for a month then do it again

 

So the top terminal is getting power however I can't get any reading from the bottom terminal. The top terminal gets power when the key is in the ON position. When I try to turn the car on the I can't get any reading out of the bottom terminal. I'm guessing this means no power is going though the starter and that's the reason the car isn't starting. I'm headed back to the parts store to order/pick one up.

 

The starter circuit is the only unfused circuit in your car.

 

Put the new starter in and the car started right up! I was really surprised it only took 25 minutes to put it in.
