Default civic 97 dx with civic 00 dx engine, PROBLEMS

HAVING A LITLE PROBLEM. MY CAR IS A CIVIC 97 DX 3DR( D16Y7) AND BOUGHT A WRECKED 2000 CIVIC DX 4DR (D16Y7). THINKING THAT THE ENGINE IS THE SAME BUT THE WIRING HARNESS DIDNT MATCH UP. THE 00 CIVIC ONLY HAD 10K THATS WHY I DID IT. THE PROBLEMS ARE THAT THE SPEEDOMETER IS NOT WORKING, THE BACK UP LIGHTS ARE NOT WORKING, IT THROWS THE SRS LIGHT BUT AS SOON AS I MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL IT GOES AWAY AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. PLEASE HELP ANYONE.

i have done a motor swap in my 93 to a newer vtech i had to swap out the harness and ecu as well i doubt the problems with you lights are from the motor swap that is most lickly some thing else that might have happened during the swap trace your wires in the engine bay see if any got pulled loose or maybe cut open and are shorting out the srs light is agin most lickly not related to the motor being swaped and if it gose away when you move the steering wheel i would start in the steering colum at the air bag and check for loose conections. your check engine light could be 1 of a million things if you can get me the code i have all the equipment in my shop for code definitions i can give you a good place to start or maybe the problem

IF I GO WITH MY OLD HARNESS AND CPU IT SHOULD WORK BUT I ALSO INSTALLES THE POWER STEERING TO THE CAR AND IT HAS A PLUG. IF I DO NOT CONECT THAT PLUG WHAT WOULD HAPPEN? I ASK BECAUSE MY OLD HARNESS DID NOT HAD THAT PLUG.
