This is my second Civic, my first one was a 92 LX and now I have a 94 DX. On the 92, the distributor went out a 169K Miles. I am now at 171K in the DX, and I think this one is going out as well. Have the rest of you guys had this problem too?

 

Did you try just changing the cap and rotor? Maybe even the ignitor. Chances are the entire Dizzy isn't bad, just some of the guts

 

i carry an extra distributer complete with plug wires & a 12mm wrench - just in case
in most cases a no spark problem turns up to be somthing in the distributor
