Civic passenger door won't lock
 

I have a 2000 Honda LX civic with automatic door locks. All the doors lock
fine except the passenger door which will not lock with the automatic lock button, key remote or with the key. I can't push it down. It goes down part way but comes back up. Is it the actuator or is that only when there is a problem with the auto lock?

have you pulled the door panel off and taken a look to if anything is bent or not working

I removed the door panel and white plastic. I'm not sure what to look for
but I don't see anything broken or disconnected. I've attached a picture taken
of the door lock. The rod from the top of the door has a piece of white plastic
which looks like it pushes down on an another piece of white plastic in the lock but it doesn't go down far enough I guess.

well the white plastic piece looks bent maybe that is what the problem is...
