If you don't know when the MTF was last replaced, then drain and refill with Honda MTF.

It's possible.

Just spoke to a local guy here that works on Honda's for performance builds and stuff. Told him the shifting is stiff on my car. Right away he mentioned he seen that before.

He's saying that just before the dust boot the shifting linkage could be bindng or due to the fact its getting worn. The pin the goes in vertical and the other pin going horizontal is where he was talking about. We are going to look for a used linkage in the junk yards to keep cost down. I'm not the type to be a cheapo on cars, but with just over 270,000kms this car is my daily driver and will be a "drive till it dies" type of thing.

He also mention that you can get a short shifter on e-bay and the bottom end where the linkage pivots the aftermarket shift has a bearing instead of bushings. He said its better than the poly bushing than can be bought for 20$ at a performance shop.

This problem sounds definatly what it could be. If anyone has had this happen to them, please chime in and let me know your findings and pointers you experianced.

Thanks,
