Default Clock problem

Hey guys,

I have a 2005 Civic Ex. A few days ago I noticed that my clock was a few hours behind, so I fixed it. The next day I started my car and the clock had changed again. Does anyone know what this means or how to fix it?

Thanks!
Michelle

it could mean that you have any one or any combination of the following issues.

1. It could be a bad battery or a battery going bad
2. It could be a faulty clock (or is it actually part of the stereo head unit?)
3. It could be a loose power connection to the clock or to the stereo head unit if they are a one piece unit.
4. It could be a bad connection at the battery terminals.

Anyone of the above conditions or any combination of them could be the case. you just have to trouble shoot.

Check for a blown fuse.

My clock hasn't changed since I fixed it last night. My dad doesn't think it's the battery since it's a fairly new car and I have no problem starting it. I drove it 6 hours straight today and I had no problems. I guess I'll just wait and see if it does it again. Thanks for your help!
