does anyone have the installation instruction for the 91 civic. i wanted to remove everything but i may have missed something. the instruction will help me decifer what i may have missed.
Start by looking at the A/C chapters in the 88 and 90 Civic service manuals at the link in my signature.

After you remove the evaporator box under the dash, you will have to put in a blank air duct from a non-A/C car to connect the fan to the heater. Otherwise your heater and defroster (required in many states, and just a good idea anyway) won't work. Or you can remove the evaporator box, take the parts out from inside and put the empty box back in.

After you take all the parts out you'll realize you've only made your car about 50 pounds ligher, yet drastically reduced its appeal to women in the summertime.

mk, I imagine that your last point may outweigh almost any other considerations.
