Coolant Temperature Sensor Wires?

My check engine light came on the other day and I took it to AutoZone and they code said it was the Coolant Temperature Sensor. When I looked under the hood I found wires going to what I assume is the Coolant Temperature Sensor area completely disconnected. Then I also noticed that there were a few wires from the other hose (only 2) not connected to whatever it was supposed to be wired to.
Can anyone tell me what the other thing is? And if I buy a Coolant Temperature Sensorwill it come with the wiring to re-wire it??
I have pictures, but they won't upload, let me know if you want to see them.

I am thankful for any help!

RE: Coolant Temperature Sensor Wires?

first download the civic manual for your year from the link in my signature.

second, buying new sensors normally does not include connectors.
