Default Creeking noise when backing

I have a 99 civic ex 5 speed with 125K and zero problems so far. In the past few months I have noticed a creeking noise (kinda like a door in your house that needs some oil) when backing out of the driveway and turning the steering wheel to the left to the left. It only makes this sound in reverse and mostly only when cold.

Any Ideas? (power steering?)

Thanks,

Franco

i had the same problem. did u get any brake work done recently? if so your parking brake cable could be incorrectly adjusted. check to see if loosening the adjustment screw helps. it's located in the cab of the car, you just have to remove some of the console if you're going to do it yourself (it's really easy).
Good Luck, and hope i helped!

hey joel thnk for the tip i think i have the same porblem when backing up and i thought of exactly the same thing!

only problem is im a complete newb to my 94 1.6eSi vtec civic and the best i can do is take the door panels off :P
how would you take off the dashboard console off if you dont mind me asking? maybe a step by step guide if possilble? i would post pics of my car but i don't even know how to put pics on a forum....let alone a banner....i have many other problems with my civic but lets take it one step at a time, these are minor problems im talking about like changing engine oil and cleaning the engine you know...

Thanks for the advice, wouldn't know what il do without the info!
