Crunch noise when shifting& intermittent double knock when accelerating

Crunch noise when shifting& intermittent double knock when accelerating
Hello,
I have an automatic 09 civic ex exhibiting some strange noises,
1) When shifting to any position throught the entire day i hear a crunchy knock sound, its louder when i shift then accelerate right away.
2) When approaching a stop sign but not making a full stop then accelerating there is a loud double knock sound as if the engine is loose or something, i can tell it is something heavy with force making the noise. This is intermittent but occurs about 50% of the time.
I was hoping others were familiar with these symptoms. Any ideas would be appreciated.
