Default Crush Washers

Are there special crush washers that go on the oil crain bolt?
Last time I changed my oil, I got a crush washer from Napa and now my oil is leaking very slightly. It never used to before.

Yeah, just get the plastic washers and replace them every third time you replace the oil. To best prevent leaking, torque the drain bolt to 33-lb-ft.

Plastic washers? Honda always gives me a metal one when I get the oil filter from them.
*Edit* I don't think it should be a crush washer either. Are those the sort of serrated ones? That's why its leaking.

I got plastic crush washers from AutoZone, and they work fine.

I have the plastic ones, and I didn't know you were supposed to replace them every third time. How much do they cost? I've never had oil leak from the drain plug.

The recommendation is replacing them every third use, but if it is not broke then don not fix it.

crush washers are what Honda gives you with the filter.... A crush washer is just an aluminum or copper washer that's meant to "crush" into a seal around the drain plug when torqued down, it has nothing to do with being serrated or not(never heard of a serrated washer BTW).
I bought 20 of the Honda aluminum crush washers the last time I was at the parts counter.... it's good to have a stock of them and they are cheap.

i bought a thing of 5 honda crush washers on some website for like 3 bucks, i ordered it online because i was already buying some honda shin-etsu silicone grease for my window seals. the plastic ones i have been getting from advance auto parts dont seem to create a very good seal for me.

Thanks for the input guys, I will probably go to autozone and pick some up or order some from hondapartsunlimited.com.
I guess I just figured that the Napa metal ones would work.

The NAPA washers are probably fine but you may be over or under torquing them.
