d16a help

ok i'm new to this and as u guys can prolly tell i'm a newb here.

just need opinions on my motor. its a d16a dohc

is it decent? can i work with it and get a fast ride? also turbos? compatible? i was readin bout a d17 and they were sayin in order to work with it u would have to change a lot of the stock parts so it could handle the power and it would be cheaper to buy a better motor. is that the case with mine?

tell me how u guys feel bout the motor and around how much power it has and torque

just tryin to learn more so ne help would be appreciated

thanx

RE: d16a help

i am not sure but i think that is the equivelent on a jdm dohc zc engine that came in some 88-91 civics. it had 130 hp and is still a d series so most d series parts will work on it like header and intake etc. the only thing is cam/valvetrain upgrades will be harder to come by since it is not a very mainstream swap like a sohc vtec or b series.
